Implemented Initiatives

Our major exciting initiative that we are most proud of was in fact the relaunch of the seafood supermarket as Omega3!. As mentioned, the launch occurred at the businesses new location which provides more convenient access to fresh local seafood. A large amount of excited customers were in attendance to check out our new premises, the fantastic deals that we were supplying and of course the fish tastings. Former Local Member for Gippsland, Peter McGauran officially launched the new brand and business premises.
Historically, the retail outlet at Bullock Island has always been popular with locals and tourists, selling an average of $1.2 million worth of fish each year. The new site in the Safeway Mall means purchasing fresh local, fish is now more convenient. Being open 7 days a week, 364 days a year, ensures quality catering for the tourist trade as well as the many surrounding hotels, motels and restaurants.
We felt it was important to utilise as many local business that we could in the design and implementation of the move and relaunch. A local designer was commissioned to bring the supermarket to life after being tucked away next to the fish processing plant on Bullock Island. New colours, a mascot, George and the new logo were designed.
Through the use of 3D software we asked the designer to produce ideas on signage and shop layouts quickly before production, saving potential costly mistakes when fitting out the shop. A local signing company was employed to produce all the signage for us.
Another exciting initiative was the implementation of our nutritional information and food processing multimedia presentation. This was introduced in association with the relaunch.
A DVD production plays on a flat screen television for customer viewing with plenty of useful information on our business practice and products. A major component of this presentation is the promotion of the health benefits and conditions that can be improved or reduced by a diet including Omega3! oils.
The vibrant premise is very attractive to customers, and we have found the use of the audio visual presentation not only improves the appeal of the business but encourages customers to enter and purchase due to its location within the shop front window. The constant promotion and marketing of the business also reassures the consumer of quality product and service.
